This afternoon the boys came over and fixed dinner. Kevin made chicken with a sauce of lemon, cream, white wine and butter. Craig made pasta, imagine that. It was all good.
Tonight we played games. Apples to Apples, a new game for us. It was fun.
We stayed closer to home this weekend and went to Pere Marquette State Park, near Grafton, Il. It was a nice campground near the Mississippi River. We were able to ride bikes and enjoyed being with everybody.
We just attended the Central Great Lakes Regional Rally of the Aliner Owners Club in Wapakoneta, Ohio. There was about 30 Aliners in every size, shape and year, including: Alite, Sportliner, Classic, Expedition, Ease, Cabin A. The event was a success. Wonderful people, good food and great campfire chats.
On this trip we towed the Aliner 885 miles with the Buick Rendezvous and averaged 21.1 Miles per Gallon. Not bad, more than usual. We must of had a tailwind both ways.
We had a small problem setting up yesterday. The folding jack wasn't locked and we pulled out the Buick and the Aliner ended up nose down in the rocks. It took a little manpower to get it back up.
Supper tonight. I was supposed to BBQ tonight but I was messing around too much and forgot to light the grill. I told Carol to fix me anything. She did good.
One mishap we had over the weekend was a gust of wind took my awning for a ride. In the process two plastic brackets that hold poles for the awning broke. I bought two new metal flag pole holders today and replaced them.Hopefully the metal ones will hold up better.
We left Wednesday and went to Hawn State Park near Farmington MO. We had a mini Gathering of A-Frames, all three of us. But this Gathering was in Missouri. A very nice State Park. It was a small campground but really nice, right along bluffs and a small stream. We will want to go back to this Park.
