Aliner is a leaker no more

Thanks to John Pfeil our Aliner is no longer a leaker. John disassembled it, located the leak and fixed the leak.

Here is Jan giving it a final leak test. As Jan said,
"its not a leaker anymore but a keeper"

Dry inside! Awesome!

Camping at Carlyle Lake. Boulder, Illinois

We just got back from a weekend at Lake Carlyle, Illinois. Boulder Campground, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground. It was cool and at times, soggy, but we had a good time.

Carol likes this campground because we can usually get a site right on the water. She loves that. I booked the weekend and e-mailed a few. Before long we had several joining us. We had five Aliners and one Chalet attend.

Another reason we like this campground is the sunsets!

We enjoy visiting and relaxing.

We saw a few crazy people doing a sailboat race of some kind in the pouring down rain.

I even saw some eating ice cream while sitting around a campfire.

Another enjoyable weekend!

Gathering Of A-Frames- Rend Lake

We just attended a nice weekend at Rend Lake, Illinois - North Sandusky Campground. The weather forecast was not very good. We arrived on Wednesday and I figured we would stay a day or two. We had rain, but most of it, was at night while we were sleeping. It turned out to be a very good event. We actually stayed until Sunday.

It was hard to get a good picture of the Aliners, we had a loop all to ourselves with large spaces between each other.

We enjoy these weekends because of the people that attend, the Aliners are secondary.

Here is our Chief John, aka The Monarch:

Random shots:

We played Games:

Some chopped wood:

We rode bikes on the very nice concrete bike trails. The only problem was the hills! I like flat terrain but it's hard to find.

Some people complained to us about being "trailer trash". I agree it was a little tacky but our window leaks and I took care of it for the weekend. Hopefully it will get fixed before the next event.

We had entertainment and ate good:

Of course we always have John's famous bonfires:

A freshly shed snake skin was found near a camper which upset a few. It was only about 5 foot long:

As always, we enjoyed this event very much.
