Beaver Dam State Park, IL

We just returned from a mini-gathering of A-Frames. This was a "hey I'm going camping if you want to join" trip. We had 7 Aliners show up. It was a little cool and windy at times but it was a good time. 
Nice campground and a good time.

Thirty degrees this morning. A little cool riding the bike to the restroom at 7:11 AM

(actually it was 6:11 AM due to the time change)

McCullough Pie Contest

Family in Texas did a pie contest so Carol & I decided it would be a good idea too. An excuse to get together and eat. We even purchased an official Pie Contest in a Box.

We had a good time and ate a lot!

The official Judges:

The judges had to taste each pie and rate them.

Plus we also had a Peoples choice winner. The winner from the judges and the peoples choice was the same. A Strawberry Rhubarb pie by Amy McGuire.  Second place went to Peggy & Rob and third place went to Carol.

Some pies were a little odd, is that bacon on top?

We even had Pie music, all songs about pies. 
I think everyone was a winner because we all got to eat and have a good time.
