Tonight I put up a new shelf in the Aliner. Carol wanted a place to put a few things. We have seen several other Aliner owners do the same.

Saturday
Carol decided that we should sleep in the new camper last night to see if the bed was ok. I stayed out there for an hour and decided to go in. Carol spent the night in it and said she slept good.
We have a trip planned for next weekend so it will have to work. I wanted to install an A/C unit but I need a kit from the factory. I guess it isn't going to happen by next weekend.
Hopefully it won't be too hot.

1988 Aliner is gone!
The old 1988 Aliner has been sold. I put an ad on Craigslist and on the Aliner Club site last night. I can't believe how many people responded. I had several e-mails and several phone calls. This morning someone came and bought it. It's gone. That's good. I don't have room for one much less two.
Now I can work on the new one and find out why it's leaking so bad. I also put a new battery and a microwave in the new one today. I still have to put in an A/C unit. I'm not looking forward to cutting into this one. The old one didn't bother me to install an A/C unit. But I hate to mess this one up.

A last minute Camping Trip
Yesterday morning after seeing the forecast we decided to throw a few things together and go camping. We just went to a campground not too far from home. We had a good time, the weather was perfect and I even got in a bike ride.

GPS Units
I got an early birthday present. I got it before our trip to Oklahoma. I always like electronic gadgets.
I got a Garmin GPS unit.
It is about the coolest toy I ever got. It's unbelievable everything it can do. It talks to you, knows and displays every street in the USA. It can find every restaurant, hotel, gas station, store etc. and tell you how to get there with turn by turn directions. It has a MP3 player, picture viewer with slideshow and I'm still learning everything it can do.
Now I won't get lost going to work.

Saturday
Yesterday, Carol & I drove to Wagoner, Oklahoma to buy an Aliner Sportliner Camper.
I found it on Craigslist in Tulsa, OK. I talked to the owner several times with thousands of questions. He did not have any way to send me pictures. It sounded great, just what we wanted. A newer Aliner, not too expensive, and with several options.
After all our conversations Thursday night he called me. He said there was one thing he forgot to tell me. Someone had previously backed into the camper and broke the taillight. He had it repaired and everything was ok. I figured "No Problem". Yesterday we drove about 375 miles to go buy this camper.
When we get there I see that the whole right rear corner was damaged. It was repaired but not very well. After going over it for 45 minutes I said "No Thanks" and we drove 375 miles home. A lesson learned.
