Rain Barrel

Today's project was to install a rain barrel. I'm not really "green" but with all of Carol's flowers and plants I thought this would be useful. MSD was offering these for sale as a way to help lessen the storm water and conserve water. I rerouted the gutter downspout to go to a 55 gallon barrel.

Aliner mods

Today I installed little plastic pieces at the corners that I didn't have. Maybe this will help our leak. We also got a screen room attachment for our awning. Two weeks ago the bugs were really bad so we decided to get the screen room.

Memorial Weekend

We don't have any real plans this weekend. Maybe we will just relax and sit on the patio.

I doubt that is all we will do.

Aliner Converter

I didn't wait for the weekend. I installed the new converter tonight. It wasn't too bad.

Topsy Turvy Upside Down Planter

Have you seen these? We will have so many tomatoes we won't know what to do with them.

Mother's Day

This afternoon the boys came over and fixed dinner. Kevin made chicken with a sauce of lemon, cream, white wine and butter. Craig made pasta, imagine that. It was all good.

Tonight we played games. Apples to Apples, a new game for us. It was fun.

Pere Marquette, Illinois

We stayed closer to home this weekend and went to Pere Marquette State Park, near Grafton, Il. It was a nice campground near the Mississippi River. We were able to ride bikes and enjoyed being with everybody.

Love those hills!

Aliner Owners Club - Central Great Lakes Regional Rally

We just attended the Central Great Lakes Regional Rally of the Aliner Owners Club in Wapakoneta, Ohio. There was about 30 Aliners in every size, shape and year, including: Alite, Sportliner, Classic, Expedition, Ease, Cabin A. The event was a success. Wonderful people, good food and great campfire chats.

On this trip we towed the Aliner 885 miles with the Buick Rendezvous and averaged 21.1 Miles per Gallon. Not bad, more than usual. We must of had a tailwind both ways.

Aliner mishap

We had a small problem setting up yesterday. The folding jack wasn't locked and we pulled out the Buick and the Aliner ended up nose down in the rocks. It took a little manpower to get it back up.
