Dam West Campground, Carlyle, IL

We are back here for the last trip of the year.

One day we went to Covered in Chocolate in Breese, IL for lunch and visited with Kathy. Good Food!

They had a fair nearby and were giving away free samples of Asian Carp. It was pretty good.

Visited, played games as usual.

We did a lot of bike riding, too. Here's a couple rides.

Finished for the year, now to unpack, unload the camper and winterize.

I keep records on just about everything.
We towed the camper 4413 miles.

We spent 213 nights in the camper , so at the end of this year we spent 60% of our time in the camper. Not ready to go full time. I enjoy the camper but I also enjoy time at home too.

I got my new bike Aug. 7 and rode it 1400 miles so far. Prior to that I had 628 miles on my old Trek. So for the year 2028 miles. The year isn't over yet. I hope the weather is good enough get out more.

Home for a few days

We came home for a few days. It was a busy weekend. Tom Canavera, Carol's brother,  got to meet his new found family. It's a long crazy story but everything was great. Nice people!

Then we attended John Canavera and Rachel's wedding. It was held at Blueberry Hill in the Duck Room. It was great.

Camping

I am behind on keeping up with my blog. We have been to several campgrounds recently. Dam West, Coles Creek and Boulder Campgrounds at Carlyle Lake and also N. Sandusky Campground at Rend Lake.

It seems the main activity has been bike riding. Love our new E-Bikes.

I have a lot of sunset pictures

Of course I have a lot of food pictures but not today.

Logging a lot of miles on our bikes.
 My latest:
1200 miles and I've only had this bike for two months. This was our second ride yesterday, 20 miles. plus earlier we rode about 14 miles.
