Texas Trip 2021 Part 3

 This year things didn't work out like they were supposed to. So at the end of our trip we had 3 families to visit. We had one day with each family. 

First we went to the McShane's in Stockdale, Texas. Good to see my sister, Delores and everybody. We had a good dinner.

Next we went to Dripping Springs, Texas to visit with all the Pearlstein family. We had a good dinner.

The last family was in San Antonio, Texas and the Canavera's. We had another good dinner.

Texas Trip 2021 Part 2

 We arrived at Gulf Waters Beachfront RV Resort on a Sunday. Texas had a major cold and ice storm throughout the entire state. For 6 days, every day was a new record low temperature. We lost power Monday at 3 AM. It was off for 61 hours. We were able to plug into a neighbors Class A with an onboard generator. Water was off for awhile and then had to be boiled for a week.

So our fancy resort did not have power, cable TV, water,  WiFI, no nothing. A lot of palm trees and plants died. The island was cut off because the bridge to the mainland was closed for 3 days because of ice.

After a few days things started to slowly get back to normal. 

We stayed here for 5+ weeks at two different sites. Both sites were great. 

I bought a bicycle to ride while we were here. I didn't bring mine. 

Tom and Nancy came for a visit.

While here in Port Aransas we just relaxed, walked to the beach, etc.
