With the predictions of 3"-8" of snow I decided to take the day off. Why drive in the mess when I have 400 hours of vacation on the books. We only got a couple of inches so far but they say more is on the way. I dug my snow blower out of the shed last night so even with only 2" I decided to use it.
As I sit here today in the 20 degree weather I'm getting anxious to get the Aliner out and go somewhere. Right now it's just sitting in the garage since last October. I bought a cover because I planned on putting it outside for the Winter but that never happened.
We didn't have anything to do today so we rearranged half the house. I had one bedroom for my office and Carol had the other bedroom for her stuff. Today we switched rooms. Of course this means destroying the whole house moving stuff out of one room to make room. We stacked up stuff in our bedroom and the dining room.
I spent most of the day dealing with wires. I have too many electronic gadgets. In my office I have a TV, VCR, computer, printer, PDA, 2 cell phones, a router, modem, speakers, 2 way portable radio, emergency radio, 2 digital cameras, shredder, and more. All of this plus all the cables to connect everything, network cables, coax cables, power cables, USB cables, etc.
We bought a piece of counter top and put it on two filing cabinets to make a computer desk. I took the TV and put it in the computer cabinet.
I still have a lot of work to do. I'll be busy tomorrow.
Today after Carol and the boys came home from church they decorated gingerbread houses. This afternoon the boys went back home. It's quiet around here.
Dave, a guy that played in a band with Kevin & Craig in high school was in town and offered to make breakfast. The whole gang came over this morning. Dave made an awesome 12 egg omelet with cheese, mushrooms, bacon, spinach. Carol made pancakes, hash browns and I made some gravy.
After we all stuffed ourselves everybody left but Noah & Austin. Noah made more cookies. Then we took them to Powder Valley, messed around and then hiked on a trail. Then we drove through Lone Elk Park and saw the bison.
This afternoon friends from Illinois stopped by for a couple hours.
Tonight it was a pizza and chicken nuggets. Afterwards more Wii and another game of Sorry.
Noah and Austin are spending a couple of days with us. Today Carol took them shopping and then to the movies. Tonight we drove through Tilles Park and looked at the Christmas lights. Then we played Wii, Sorry, baked and ate cookies. I'm tired!
