Aliner Awning

After looking and reading about the several types of Aliner awnings we decided on the Mariah. I like the fact that is always attached to the camper and it's always there. Nothing else to pack or carry, it's self contained. Plus John Pfeil has installed several and he was going to install ours. We also had to decide on a color. The standard color is blue. We wanted something different. We got a color sample and discussed yellow, gold, red, tan, white, and all the rest. We settled on blue.
It turned out great, we can't wait until we can go somewhere and use it.

Shortbread

One of Carol's birthday gifts was a ceramic shortbread pan. It had a recipe so today she made shortbread. It was very good. I ate way too much.

Kevin's Birthday

We went out tonight to celebrate Kevin's 24th Birthday. Boy is he getting old.

Valentine's Day

We went out to dinner last night for Valentines Day. Today I got a heart shaped breakfast of sausage & eggs.

Tonight I had a nice dinner.

Carol had some concoction of cabbage and soy meatballs, without meat.

A couple of days ago it was 10 degrees. Today we hit a new record high of 70. It was great. I raked leaves and sweet gum balls. The only problem is the sweet gum ball trees still have a million still on them.

I even got in a short bike ride around the subdivision.

Friday Night

Last night we went to a fellow Aliner owners house in Belleville, Il. Not only do they own an Aliner but they are the regional director's for the Aliner Owners Club and the ruling Monarch of the group known as the "Gathering Of A-Frames".




We visited, talked about Aliners, camping places, etc. We went to a great restaurant in Fairview Heights called Lotawata Creek. They advertise they are not a chain restaurant, just good southern cooking. The food was great and piled very high on the plates. There went the diet.

A very nice day

We finally had a nice sunny day in the 50's. Awesome! The 8.5" snow was melting and I was able to pull the camper out and clean the garage.
