STL Outsider Art Fair 2013

Craig was showing some art at this event. Like most art shows there were some unusual art and unusual people there.

Rain leads to Sewer backup in our finished basement

A week ago Carol called me at work and said the basement was flooding. I hurried home and found 4" of sewer water covering the whole basement. 

Made phone calls to Sewer Company, Insurance Agent, Clean up Company, etc. The sewer water kept getting deeper. 4" then 6" then 8". Then a Carbon Monoxide detector was going off. Called the Fire Department. They shut the gas off and rescued Carol's makeup from the downstairs bathroom.  The sewer water kept getting deeper. Then the Fire Department called the Electric Company. When they arrived they shut power off to the house. At this point we had 14" of sewer water. We packed a few clothes and abandoned the ship. We went to a hotel.

The next morning we arrived to find the water had gone down but we had a huge mess. Disgusting!

After several days and 2 full dumpsters things are looking better. Carpet and vinyl is gone, all furniture is gone, bottom couple feet of drywall gone, etc. Things are cleaned up and dry. New furnace and water heater installed. New Dryer, refrigerator and freezer delivered. 

Now to get everything re-built.

We just attended a great wedding for Jamie & Lane. It was a great time. Glad we made the trip.

Aliner finishing touches

Everything is coming together. 
Good, camping season will be here soon.

New Curtains!

My wonderful wife made all new curtains for the Aliner. 
The ones the factory put in were really bad. 
She did a really great job. 

Aliner Awning- Mariah

We must like the Mariah awnings. This is our third one. 
Glad to have it and glad it's installed and ready.
