Christmas Eve

This year we decided on a breakfast. It was great.
Homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns, eggs, homemade blueberry and apple danish things.  It was all good.

We ate on this new dining room table that Carol just bought and recovered the chairs.

After we ate we exchanged gifts. I got some awesome stuff as usual. Tech stuff.

A nice day today and looking forward to tomorrow.

Echo Bluff State Park

This new state park opened last year. I booked a spot at the campground last year and again this year. Both got cancelled due to me getting chemo. I still wanted to see this place so we booked a couple days in a cabin.

This place is out in the middle of no where. 30 miles from Salem, MO. on curvy, narrow roads. They tell you up front there is no cell service.

They have cabins, a lodge, a restaurant, campground, etc.
The cabin we stayed in was very nice.

The lodge:

During the week, at the end of November, we had the place to ourselves.

Wild horses are running around the park.

We ate at the lodge one night.

Of course Carol found a lot of "fancy" rocks here to drag home:

We had a nice time and plan on coming back and stay in the campground.

Thanksgiving 2017

We had a nice day today. A lot to be thankful for. Glad we got together. The food was good too.

Lance had to demo how to use a foam roller.

Capone and Kevin were late arrivals. But Kevin did leave with some food.

A sample of the food I ate:
