Texas Trip 2018 Part 3

We left Port Aransas, Texas and went to Fredericksburg, Texas for a few days. Nice town. An old German town. Main Street has turned into a tourist spot. It's lined with shop after shop of small shops.

We went to Luckenbach, Texas. Not much going on there on a weekday in February. 

Texas Trip part 2

We left Stockdale and drove to Port Aransas, Texas. I booked a week at Gulf Waters RV Resort. 
I'm not sure we belong here. It's full of fancy motor homes and 5th wheels. A very nice place.

We had visitors. Pam Brinkman Meyer and her husband from our old Van Club days. Drove 4 hours from their house to visit with us. We had a nice visit.

We got out a little in Port Aransas. Hurricane Harvey hit here last August. Most of the town is a mess and rebuilding. A few things are starting to open. We ate at Moby Dick's today. It had 8 feet of water inside and had to be totally redone. It just opened last week with a limited menu and cash only. 

We hit the beach but it has been foggy and overcast. 

We also had to go to Snoopy's while we were here.

We finally got a little sunshine late in the day.

We had more visitors . Jamie & Lane were here for the weekend and came by before heading home. We will see them again next weekend in Dripping Springs.

I have been eating good too, I haven't posted many food pictures.

Texas Trip 2018 Part One

We finally left home and headed to Texas.  The first day we had a little delay because of a flat tire on the truck. I just put new tires on the camper so I wouldn't have any problems. We also had a bad headwind all day. I got a new all time low MPG, 6.7.

I've heard of Bed, Bath and Beyond.

The next couple of days were pretty uneventful. Our first stop was Stockdale, Texas. Home of the McShanes. 

We had three days of excellent food, games and fun.
